Why you should join the chamber &
be a part of the Chamber Lobby Community
The purpose of a Chamber of Commerce is to create a community to help promote and prosper local businesses. By managing the local and regional information of the community, the chamber can provide a physical lobby where prospective customers and visitors can find exactly what they are looking for.
However, with the rise of instant information, people are turning to the internet to find what they need. Although Google® manages the world's information, it is often not possible to index the Chamber community because the majority of chamber members are not documented for internet search.
The Chamber Lobby solves this problem. The digital lobby gives small, local businesses an edge on the internet. It accomplishes visibility during internet searches for those businesses who would otherwise be lost in the sea of internet information.

As a chamber member, you can tap into a wide array of services to support your business, such as:
According to a research study by The Shapiro Group, Inc. and Market Street Services, when consumers know a small business is a member of their local chamber of commerce, they are 44 % more likely to think favorably of it and 63 % more likely to purchase goods or services from the company in the future.
Networking ranks first as the reason folks join a chamber. My chamber offers monthly “networking only” breakfasts, “Power Lunches” with two other chambers, mixers at local businesses, and luncheons bringing together residents and business leaders alike. This variety of opportunities makes it possible to match my needs as a small business person.
The Chamber staff interceded on behalf of our company to the county and was able to make a change to posted parking hours. The relationships my chamber has with elected officials made it possible for my second shift employees to gain reasonable parking accommodations without worrying about being ticketed.
The Chamber connected me with SMUD’s SEED program, a way for small businesses to have the opportunity to bid on SMUD contracts (and there are a lot!). In fact, my chamber reached out to me to let me know this contract opportunity was available. The result- a six-figure contract with SMUD to provide vehicle wraps for their trucks."
