Micro-Grant Program

The Rancho Cordova Area Chamber is thrilled to announce a second round of funding ($70,000) in immediate relief in the form of micro-grant awards ranging between $50-$1,000 to local small businesses. Our goal is to provide funds to assist in keeping the doors open through and beyond COVID-19. A small micro-grant may go a long way when a business is in need.

Rancho Cordova Chamber Covid-19 Micro-Grant awards may be used to fund creative or simple ideas to help a small business respond to the impact COVID-19. Grant proposals should support projects, equipment/supplies, or other needs that have an immediate impact on employees, production, or serving customers, clients, and vendors. Applicants are not required to be Rancho Cordova Chamber members. (However, we'd love to chat with you.)

Award Amounts

The maximum funding level for an approved request is $1,000. Grants are one time only and awarded providing the applicant meets eligibility and award criteria. Eligible applications will be considered via a lottery system after the application period closes or until funds are exhausted Grants will be disbursed until funds are exhausted.

Eligibility

The Chamber will distribute $70,000 in immediate relief in the form of micro-grants ranging from $50 to $1,000 to local small businesses. The objective is to assist in keeping the doors open through and beyond COVID-19. $50,000 of the funds are available to support small businesses located within the city limits of Rancho Cordova. $20,000 is available for small businesses located in Mather, Rosemont, or Gold River.

  • Have fewer than 50 employees at their site located in Rancho Cordova
  • Operate at physical location within the city limits City of Rancho Cordova OR
  • Operate at a physical location within the communities of Gold River, Mather and Rosemont. 
  • Hold a current business license
  • Have been in business for at least one year
  • Offer an idea for funding that will make a difference
  • Grants are one time only, those who have received a previous grant (in 2020) from the Chamber or City of Rancho Cordova are not eligible to reapply.

Award Criteria

  • The proposal meets eligibility requirements
  • Demonstrates an immediate positive impact on production, customers, employees, and/or community
  • Feasibility of the proposal and anticipated use of resources
